How Donations Are Used

One
World Medical Relief, Inc. has no paid employees. Work is performed by
volunteers. 100% of the donated amount goes to support medical missions
or infrastructure insuring mission success.
To date, all volunteers have been
self-funded. Donations are used to purchase medical supplies (those
which are not donated) or cover shipping costs.
Your $3 US donation covers the facility
charge for one outpatient evaluation.
Your $5 US donation covers the facility
charge for each inpatient hospital day.
Dividing the mission expenses (excluding
personal) by the number of surgical cases performed during the average
mission, each patient is treated for $125-$200 US. As some patients
undergo multiple procedures during a single surgery session, the cost
per procedure ranges $75-$125 US. The US dollar goes a long way in
restoring function to citizens of the developing world. Never
underestimate how much such a small amount can change lives forever.
Thanks for your interest in our
organization. All donors will receive a personal letter of gratitude
detailing the amount given. As we are an IRS recognized nonprofit
organization, this letter should suffice for tax reporting. We
anticipate an annual report at the end of 2008.
